THE DRO FORUM

A think-tank discussing the future of Buddhism

About the Dro Forum

The Dro Forum is a social think tank that meets to discuss matters affecting the future of the Buddhist world.

Consisting of members and guests who propose speakers to give short lectures at monthly lunches (usually at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club, Hong Kong), this forum is collegial, friendly, and open, yet takes its speakers’ subjects seriously as impacting Buddhism in significant ways.

Named in honor of the noble Dro lineage, a transmission stream of the Kalachakra Tantra that forms the institutional and meditative heart of the Jonang school of Vajrayana Buddhism, the forum is grounded in the faith that the transformation of the world comes from within, with changes in perspectives that blossom into chain reactions of positivity and insight.

The group’s members come from a wide range of backgrounds, but remain grounded in a spiritual mission with academic rigor and support.
